Picture this is a fantastic plant identification app. I have been testing out the free version of this app for several weeks and it has never disappointed me! There is a premium version that is available for a price but I have been using the free one and it meets my needs perfectly.
This week we have been working on a few different things:
1) Documenting our property layouts. 2) Updating property layouts with green spaces. 3) Doing a green space assessment of three areas on our properties that include information about soil, water, and light! Here is my completed property layout! This week in horticulture we will be studying light! It this week's installment, called "Let there be Light" I will be discussing light and why it necessary in the garden.
Secondly, we will begin the process of building websites! I have already created student weebly accounts for you. This week will just set things up and explore the themes available. Moving forward you will document your progress in this format. YOU CAN DO IT IF I CAN!!!!!!!! To log on go to: Weebly Education and I will provide you with your login information this week! Here is the soil video, the boys and I made last week. Thank you to Callum Vos who was my on camera assistant. Thank you the Carter Vos who compiled and edited the video for us. Welcome back everyone!
My goals this week are the following: 1) Work together to figure out how will carryout our individual garden projects. They may not be what we originally hoped for but that's okay! 2) This week's content focus will be soil. I have a fun and easy activity for you to try at home. 3) Assessment - Soil Analysis 4) Connect to our google classroom! |
